L’annonce de la nomination de Nafissatou N’diaye Diouf a été faite par les responsables du Groupe de la Banque africaine de développement (BAD). « Le Groupe de la Banque africaine de développement (BAD) annonce la nomination de Nafissatou N’diaye Diouf en tant que directrice par intérim du Département des Communications et des Relations extérieures (PCER), à partir du 1er avril 2020 », peut-on lire sur financialafrik.com.
« Nafissatou est une professionnelle respectée dans le secteur des communications et des relations extérieures. Je compte sur Nafissatou pour diriger le Département en ce moment critique alors que la Banque réagit à l’évolution rapide de la situation de Covid-19 et poursuivre l’excellent travail accompli à ce jour au sein du Département », a déclaré Dr Akinwumi Adesina, président de la BAD.
Nafissatou N’diaye Diouf est de nationalité sénégalaise. Elle a déjà occupé d’autres postes au sein de l’institution. De 2016 à 2018, elle a été consultante en communication au sein du Département du secteur privé, des infrastructures et du commerce. Depuis 2018, elle occupait le poste de chef de division au département des Communications et des Relations extérieures de la Banque. Elle a abattu un travail remarquable à ce poste. Elle a élaboré des stratégies de communication en se conformant aux ambitions de l’institution. Son travail a permis à la Banque d’accroître sa couverture.

Avant d’arriver à la BAD, Nafissatou N’diaye Diouf a été fondatrice et directrice générale de l’agence 54 communication à Dakar au Sénégal de 2011 à 2017. Elle a été également la directrice des relations publiques pour Francophone Africa ZK Advertising, à Johannesburg en Afrique du Sud. Elle a aussi travaillé comme journaliste à l’Associated Press (AP).
