L’Etat a offert à 524 artisans du matériel de travail entre 2018 et 2019. Grâce à cet appui, plusieurs jeunes artisans réussissent à s’installer et à travailler à leur propre compte.
En mars 2019, 228 kits de couture, 55 kits de coiffure, 7 kits de broderie et 5 kits de soudure, d’une valeur totale de 48 108 200 F CFA ont été remis à 295 artisans en 2019. Il s’agit des artisans ayant terminé avec succès leur parcours de Volontariat d’engagement citoyen (VEC) de la quatrième vague à Lomé. Les bénéficiaires vont rembourser, sur une période d’un (1) an, 25% de la valeur des kits reçus. Quant à l’Etat, il prend en charge les 75% restants, soit 36 081 150 F CFA.
En 2018, 231 jeunes artisans en fin de mission avaient été équipés de matériels de travail pour le compte de la 3e vague des VEC. La remise des matériels est coordonnée par l’Agence nationale de développement à la base (Anadeb).
L’appui du gouvernement à l’insertion socioprofessionnelle des jeunes s’inscrit dans le cadre de la mise en œuvre du Programme de développement communautaire en zones urbaines (PDC-ZU). Il vise à amener 52% des quartiers défavorisés des villes du Togo à se prendre en charge.
